Review of Coach Carter (2005) by Christopher G — 14 Jun 2010

I actually came on here to post what the main reviewer has said already: This is Dangerous Minds and Dead Poets Society done by MTV. Samuel L brings his considerable talent to the basketball court and delivers his (frequently cheesy as hell) dialogue with style and class.

Didn't go deep enough into the characters lives for my liking, focused on some more than others. I also couldn't understand why the parents were wanting the Coach fired part way through - he's the one who got the damn team to the top! Dumb idiots.

Nowhere near as good as the other films in this genre - but it did grab me, and the ending was very well done!
