Review of Clueless (1995) by Colm G — 18 Jul 2011
Clueless is a fantastic teen comedy. I think anyone from the 90s will instantly love this film, and people will still be laughing at this film for many years to come.
Alicia Silverstone was completely right for the part of Cher. She plays the spoiled Beverley hills girl really well and you actually really like the character of Cher even though she is spoilt.
The dialogue was really funny and the jokes were very clever. The film had the perfect balance of humor, realism and bitchiness. I think I can watch Clueless many times over and still laugh as much as I did the first time I saw it.
The reason i'm not giving this 90% or 100% is because I thought the ending wasn't completely satisfying, to me I felt like the film ended quickly and didn't have the incredible ending I felt it should have had.
Overall a brilliant teen comedy, and will be remembered as one of the most iconic film of the 90s.
