Alicia Silverstone should have been a much bigger star and Clueless is prove of it. She owns the screen as the rich spoilt Beverly Hills living Cher. This is a great mid 90s comedy and has become a staple of 90s pop culture.
Director Amy Heckerling has crafted a funny drama based on Jane Austen's Emma. The quotes such as "as if" have entered popular lexicon and even today there is nothing dated about Clueless.
Featuring a bunch of young stars-some went on to bigger fame, most did not, Clueless is a time capsule of the mid 90s.
