Review of Clue (1985) by Maria C — 17 Jul 2009
Very entertaining film, and exactly what you'd expect from a film that is based on the classic board game. The characters weren't made too cartoonish and each actor really makes the role their own.
For the majority of the film I kept getting the feeling of the film being almost like a stage performance, and there was some good 'old fashioned', melodramatic comedy. The twist at the end was unexpected and brilliant, and the alternative endings were a nice tribute to the board game and a pretty decent idea, however, by the point where Tim Curry is running around explaining everything, you're just desperate to know who the murderer is! This could have been a really stupid film, but I actually found it really entertaining, and definitely worth the watch.
