Review of Clue (1985) by Derick G — 26 Mar 2013
This movie could be considered a "cult classic" in that many people just don't "get it." But for those who do, it is not only incredibly entertaining but also quotable and hilarious.
Part of what makes this movie such a gem is that many people have never heard of it before, mostly because it was in no way a commercial success when it first came out. Because of this, seeing "Clue" with first timers who can appreciate the genial humor, fun (albeit 2 dimensional) characters, and the insanity of the plot line makes it all the more enjoyable.
I applaud the cast for their memorable performances of the iconic characters. Tim Currey who, in my opinion, is at his best in this film, leads the cast with a beautiful mix of slapstick comedy, and black humor.
If you think it's clever or at all comical that Mrs. White is a widow dressed all in black, then this movie is for you. If not, you probably won't enjoy it. For those of us who do, "Good shot Mr.
Green! Very good...".
