Review of Clue (1985) by Josè M — 23 Mar 2015
I found Clue to be an entertaining and especially unique experience, filmed in only one location and featuring a cast mostly unfamiliar at the time, it's an interactive and engaging film that the audience can have fun solving for themselves.
A group of 6 lavish and rich dinner guests, all named after colors for an alias, are invited to a mysterious mansion to find the man who blackmailed them all in the past dead...or is he? The guests and the mansion's butler may just go mad trying to solve the mystery themselves...
Clue is risky, at a time in the mid 80s when teen films and SNL alum comedies dominated the comedy film world, it took a big leap forward in the one location idea. It ends up though as an interactive and fun film - maybe dull and stretched out at points, though. Clue will definitely not appeal to all audiences, as it can get tiring and boring fast for some - I myself found it to be a fun film.
