Review of Club Dread (2004) by Magill F — 03 Oct 2008
A surprisingly inferior follow-up to Super Troopers that tries to lampoon the slasher movie genre, but gets a bit lost along the way. At any given moment, Club Dread is either a full-on gory horror film or a complete goofball comedy, but never at the same time.
Oh, and some of the jokes just flat-out don't work. Still, there are some gags that are pretty great, like Juan the diving instructor calling a girl named Penelope "Pee-na-lope".
