Review of Club Dread (2004) by Tans D — 18 Apr 2009

This movie could be taken in one of two different ways. The first would be as a silly slasher movie that is very predictable and tries to be funny. The second is a comedy spoof of the slasher genre. The only possible way that you could enjoy this movie would be if you watched it like a comedy spoof of the slasher genre.

Either way, Club Dread is not a great film. However, it manages to be very funny in parts (stale in others), surprisingly scary and suspenseful, and is incredibly entertaining. Average acting, good looking cast, and the jokes at the slasher movies are also included.
