Review of Club Dread (2004) by Tv F — 25 Apr 2010
Being a big fan of Broken Lizard - I know I went into Club Dread with much higher expectations than I should of. I laughed my ass off during Super Troopers, and I [i]knew[/i] I would have then same experience with CD - but I did not.
Don't get me wrong - it is still a fun bit of a movie. I would watch it again (and have already), but the hilarity and wit was not at the same level as it's predecessor.
The Strong: It was nice to see the cast in vastly different roles than ST. Bill Paxton was wonderful as a faux-Jimmy Buffet.
The Weak: Just didn't seem near as clever as ST.
