Review of Clown (2014) by Jon C — 24 Oct 2015
Next to Stephen King's IT this shows why clowns are scary.
The filmmakers take sort of a 'Goosebumps' approach to a man wearing a clown suit and it refuses to come off making it a part of him to the worst extent.
You wouldn't notice Eli Roth in the monster-clown makeup but trust me, it's monstrous-looking enough to send chills down your spines.
Peter Stormare has a good part providing some inside information about the demonic suit's history and the price for all who wear it.
It's pretty sad watching this father/husband go through a horrific change.
The stuff they add to the clown's biology is really freaky from having balloon-paint blood to having any part of the suit big or small still affecting living things.
Terrific gore scenes although they may be very intense for some.
It jumps right into the premise without a singe minute wasted and there's never a dull or happy moment.
Nothing funny here but a monster that wants to kill while carrying a cute name.
