I don't know what the kids thought of it, I don't know if the majority of professional critics liked it, all I know is that this movie played perfectly to my sense of humor. Whereas most animated features will make jokes mostly for the kids and a few for the adults, I feel like this one was filled to the brim with adult humor.
..or perhaps better said as silly adult humor. It feels like something me and my friends could write, laughing the whole time. If you haven't seen it, do so. Or just watch the snowball scene on Youtube to see if it'll be your kind of humor.
