I absolutely HATED this movie. I loved the book as a kid, and I just think this movie just took a major crap on the book and the collective intelligence of those who read it. It's riddled with clichés, the main characters are stereotypes, the ending is left COMPLETELY unresolved, this movie should've have even been allowed to say it was BASED on the book.
If they had put it out under a different title and said it was INSPIRED by the book, I could understand that, but as is, it's just a stupid, stupid movie.
