"Cloud Atlas" is the definition of a mixed bag. On the one hand, its a huge sprawling adventure that explores the human experience with an impressive scope and amazing visuals. On the other, its often heavy handed, overly long and complex while showcasing some of the most awkward make-up jobs.
Still, its a truly impressive, if often times disjointed trip.
