Review of Cloud Atlas (2012) by Michael C — 08 Feb 2014

Amazing and ambitious, I can't believe I let this one fly under the radar. Every timeline has it's own feeling and genre, but obviously connected by the same cast and themes which echo throughout the film's narrative.

The music is beautiful, the story is emotionally epic, the characters created are amazing - kudos to the well-assembled cast especially - but with it's length, scope and ambition, "Cloud Atlas" understandably may not be for everyone.

I'd like to think this was one of the best movies to come out of 2012... it's just that nobody even saw it.
