Review of Cloud Atlas (2012) by Lihui C — 11 Feb 2015

"The year's most impressive film about reincarnation and the idea of remembrance expanded through centuries of characters, stories and their will power to love. I don't understand what hit me.

I guess I have a soft spot for films that deal with time and the idea of another life after death. This film is shockingly ambitious, beautifully crafted, and wonderfully told. Cloud Atlas is just a refreshing concept, the concept that one man's actions will be carried out in another century.

I give props for the Wachowski team for trying something different as well as prove to us that we can imagine and believe in bigger things.
