Review of Cloud Atlas (2012) by David S — 15 Oct 2015
Wonderful, superb movie. The premise and construction of the story are intriguing to say the very least, weaving together six 'plots', each in different time lines, that meld together to tell a larger story.
The crafting of the movie is among the best I've ever seen - the continuity of theme when cutting from one plot/time-line to another, the clues that tie things together (that you might blink and miss).
The film (story and presentation) operate at multiple levels, almost all the time. If you only are watching the "drama" itself, you are missing the majority to what the film has to offer.
