Review of Closet Land (1991) by India B — 30 Oct 2007

I love this movie. my mom used to show it to her high school classes (theater and english), and I used to show it to my friends in high school. i'd love to see the play. actually, i'd love to act in the play.

(and I don't act :)). inspiring and powerful female lead. fascinating set (or lack thereof)... leaves a few questions unanswered by combining the themes of child abuse/molestation and political torture/control.

.. but in the bigger picture these two are very much connected, in my opinion... a preying on the innocent for power, the silencing it creates, and the lifeforce that can continue, somehow..
