Review of Closer (2004) by Martin D — 07 Jan 2010
Brilliantly written and perfectly edited; entire scenes can go on for well over ten glorious minutes. It's the right length, the London based setting is well used, the soundtrack suits the mood of the movie, and the tone and feel of the film is spot-on.
All the actors are on fine form, but Clive Owen steals the show; upstaging everyone in every scene he's in. A powerhouse performance from one of the best actors of his generation.
