Review of Closer (2004) by Lewis M — 04 May 2010
Closer is the sexualized take on Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, replacing the exasperating claustrophobia of the characters with internet and some screenplay features with the words "sex", "fuck" and their derivatives. Nope--- not even a wet-dreamed Natalie Portman saved this film from the outcome of seeming way too forced to sustain a shock value, in addition to the partial miscast. Even so, this was a fun feature.
65/100.
