A very good drama and one of the best screenplays adapted from the stage that ive seen. the performances are all strong and impactful and the characters are constantly developing throughout the film. most movies drop a one or two-dimensional character into a storyline and let it ride out from there, but Closer gives you personality complexity compounded for the entire 100 minutes.
its difficult to digest largely because the characters are arguably so real (or perhaps so unrealistic) that you squirm to watch them behave the way they do.
