Review of Closer (2004) by Juanka P — 01 Apr 2012
CLOSER is a fantastic movie about love and its different edges. The move shows complex characters who display difficult relationships, lust, betrayal, lies, and more. It show us that there is no godo and evil, but that we are made of both. It shows us how complex we are in real life, how we can change from heroes to villains in just seconds.
The movie follows four people who start as strangers and end up linked to each other. Their connections come and go along the story. The script encloses very rich, sharp and delightful dialogues. The performances of the four main characters is perfect. Although, Larry and 'Alice' are perfect.
Some escenes are quite harsh, but some others are quite tender and that's how they keep our attention most of the time. Natalie Portman is absolutely gorgeous in this movie, her character is the best one, which has generated some failed attempts of copycats in real life.
