Review of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Roland S — 18 Jun 2010
A rather disjointed movie, but that may be down to this current edit interfering with my memories of the original (for instance, the UFO investigators seem to crop up more often, and more randomly, than I remember, and Dreyfuss's character gets fired without any rhyme or reason) - but this is still a slow burning mystery film, packed with excellent and subtle performances that carry the more illogical elements of the plot towards a truly fantastic denouement.
