There are a lot of alien invasion movies out there, and each one of them have different interpertations on aliens invading earth. Some are entertaining, others not so much. In my opinion a great example of a terrible alien invasion movie is Skyline. However a great example of an excellent classic SCI-FI alien invasion FILM thats even a masterpiece that is just an absolute great movie is... Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Honestly this is arguably my favorite SCI-FI film of all time! I love this movie. The acting is great and I was really invested and I cared about the characters. And this movie had me at the edge of my seat from it's incredible suspense. The directing by Steven Spielberg was phenomenal. And in my opinion this is just a perfect SCI-FI film.
The special effects in this movie are groundbreaking and definitely jawdropping. The alien ships really caught my eye and they even looked beautiful. Excellent cinematography. This film is jawdropping, beautiful, and it's pure entertainment. Arguably my favorite Steven Spielberg movie. An excellent alien invasion SCI-FI film that I enjoyed and loved.
