Review of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Dustin J — 28 Nov 2010
4 - A now classic sci-fi; Spielberg's alien visitors are friendly, but drive Dreyfus to the brink of obsessive insanity as he tries to unravel the image of a mountain they seemingly left him with. The gradual breakdown of his marriage is depicted as realistically as the fantastic concept allows, but Spielberg pulls it off.
Kudos for the dazzling UFO special effects.
