In 1982, Spielberg released his science fiction masterpiece "E.T. Extra Terrestrial." Five years before, Spielberg released another science-fiction masterpiece called "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." What a precious film to endure. In the sense of the story, there seems to be some findings of some U.F.O.'s on radars and people have mysteriously vanished (military jets are left abondoned but they pilots are no where to be seen). Then bizarre occurences happen in the midwestern United States, which includes rolling blackouts, odd electrical problems, and sightings of fast moving flying objects. Two citizens (played Richard Dreyfuss and Melinda Dillon) become obsessed with their setting and determine to come in contact with these bizarre life forms again, especially Dillon's character because they took her child away.

"Close Encounters of the Third Kind" is without a doubt one of the greatest films of all time. Time flies by when experiencing this Spielberg creation, as does with many of his other masterworks. The visuals and special effects are stunning, and the storyline touching and fully involving. Not one minute of the two and quarter hours are wasted. All should view this breathtaking movie!
