I hand't seen this movie since I was a little kid and was in the mood to see it, so I was pretty excited to see this classic sci-fi film. Speilberg does a tremendous job in one of his first films and this film still holds up even after 30 years.
Obviously the special effects are old school and cannot be compared to modern films, but the story, supsense, and drama all still work. I love the last 10 minutes of the film and love how very few words are spoken during the ending.
Overall a great classic sci-fi film that is still great even today.
