Review of Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) by Yogesh M — 04 Oct 2014
Close Encounters is a unique and very well made movie. The acting, especially Dreyfus, is very good. The story is compelling and thought provoking. The visuals are great, and mesmerizing. Some of the characters could have been better developed so that we want to see then succeed, and the movie was predictable at times.
The pacing was off at times. But there are so many beautifully shot and unforgettable scenes, I was very engaged in this film. Close Encounters of the Third Kind gets 4/5 stars (B+).
