Review of Clockwise (1986) by Charlotte L — 11 Aug 2007
A reasonably funny film, with John Cleese's headmaster Brian Stimpson doing his best Basil impression. Whilst it is one farcical situation after another, there are not as many slapstick moments as there are in Fawlty Towers.
However it may feel like you are watching Cleese's most celebrated sitcom as a few of the same faces appear. Cleese plays exasperated better than anything else, though I feel he does it better on the small screen than here.
