Review of Clockers (1995) by Thomas N — 25 Oct 2007
At first I always used to pass this movie up becouse I thought spike lee doing a cop story why? But since spike lee is my favorite director and this film was was made during his classic era I gave it a far shake.
Clockers is very different from spike's other films which to me is a good thing this film takes place in new york city in the projects all about the every day life of a local drug dealer who has to fight to stay alive.
This film has a great soundtrack from gangster rap to Chaka Khan and the tone of the film keeps you on the edge like most of lee's films wondering how it will all end. Clockers to me is a more realistic version of the truth than say Bad Boys where the story puts focus on the hero.
If you enjoy Spike Lee films or just want to see the truth about what gose on in the intercity then check out Clockers!
