Review of Climates (2006) by Jason C — 14 Dec 2009
A couple is on vaction and seemingly having a good time. They seperate while the man takes some photos. The woman walks off and finds a vantage point where she can see her partner. The camera holds here face in the frame, she smiles as she watches him.
Then she seems contemplative and smiles less fully. Then she begins to cry. It's a great shot and it's the opening of the film. The rest of the film is an exploration into the difficulty of human relationships and, partially, an attempt to understand what made this woman cry.
Good stuff.
