Review of Clerks (1994) by Rai R — 31 Dec 2010
What's interesting is that nothing really happens, but it's never really dull. Most of the movie is just two people talking and keeping your interest. Through this, they practically become your friends.
So by the end of the movie, when they really start to dig into the characters, we can really understand and associate their problems and such to traits we've already seen from them. And once the movie's over, you've spent an entire workday with them and the end of it feels very conclusive.
As if to say, "Living day to day isn't so bad. Look, they made it through today.".
