Review of Clerks (1994) by Mark S — 18 May 2011
It may appear to be a piss poor production with actors/actresses that no one will ever know, oh wait....it is just that. But it is a phenomenal piss poor production with actors/actresses that no one will ever know.
Although the fame Clerks did sky rocket Kevin smith's,player's, and production team's career in the film industry and created a fan base following of Reynolds, Comic books, and colloquialism lovers alike.
The film, in its gritty visage, tells the story of two friends and their experiences in convenience store retail. Vulgarity and obscenity invade the dialogue but so does reality. Most people in the work force actually have blunt conversations about explicit subjects.
The story centers around a person's ability to change a situation and and become something more. But like most lazy people, the situation does not change (see Clerks 2). This is a laugh out loud funny, constantly quotable and a true testament to the men in women who provide paper and god forbid cigarettes.
