Review of Clerks (1994) by Chillindylan G — 08 Feb 2015
Dialogue is a main focus (along with acting) for me in all movies - and this one has it in spades. Epic banter between characters who, in essence, don't do shit on a day to day basis. Great use of black and white for this film. Characters flow in and out of the movie very easily, and there are very few dead moments to bog it down. Very funny - but intelligently so (though I like dumb comedies as well). Kevin Smith's best - and the only one that will appear on this list (though Dogma will surely make my Honorable Mention list). Never get tired of this film.
Grade = 8.5/10.
