Review of Clerks (1994) by Mattias K — 28 Jun 2011
A low budget film that is amateurishly shot and edited, very raw one might say. But it is beautiful in its rawness, you feel that it is authentic because, being of similar age, you know the absurdity of everyday life and what seemingly pointless conversation you have on a day to day basis.
You can relate to the main characters as one would his own friends. It's fun and most importantly very honest. There is some really bad acting, mostly from side characters, but it doesn't bother me as a viewer.
Watch it as if you would listen to some friends talk about an anecdote, don't take it as more than it is or you will miss out on the fun.
