Kevin Smith sold his priceless (to him I'm sure) comic book collection to fund the making of Clerks. For being a tubby comic book collector from Jersey he's crafted a pensive, sometimes vulgar, but in many ways, uncannily mature film about ordinary people facing some of the most difficult subjects known to civilization: love, sex & relationships.
The emotions are real, raw & heavy with thought.
