Review of Clerks (1994) by Vaughan M — 23 Jan 2016
I'm so conflicted on this movie. Kevin Smith is from the town next door, we grew up around the same time, and the film is set about 10 minutes from home. The film starts off slow, but picks up steam.
The acting is horrible, but the writing is sharp and often funny. The humor is sophomoric, but the moments it's not it's LOL funny. In the end, the concept is original enough to merit a soft recommendation.
