I actually read this book as a 12 year old and saw the movie in the theater. I don't know why. It's not like I have that much interest in this stuff. Anyway, this is a recurring character in different books and movies by Clancy, there are actually FOUR movies made with this as the main character.
Patriot Games, Hunt For Red October, and The Sum Of All Fears. So anyway, they're good if you actually can get into this kind of shit.
