The plot seemed contrived, "Why, exactly, are you not going to the police?" Oh yeah, there wouldn't be a movie then. But that's not a good enough reason sometimes. If the film were exciting and surprising, it might be different, but unfortunately it's neither.
I would skip this movie. Boring and kind of dumb.
