Review of Clay Pigeons (1998) by Jose O — 13 Jun 2008
WOW!! Who knew that Vince Vaughn could actually act? His performance is this movie reminds me of Brad Pitt in Thelma and Louise, and it makes the movie soooo enjoyable. For a little while, though, I was not sure whether I was watching a thriller or a comedy.
But once I realized I needed to use my suspension of disbelief, everything went really well. I also liked to see a much younger and skinnier Joaquin Phoenix in a role that clearly shows his talents. The storyline is very well paced, the suspence is neatly crafted and presented, the gory and bloody scenes could not have been avoided (i.
E., the movie wouldn't be the same without them), and the performances of ALL the actors are absolutely brilliant. A very pleasnat surprise that might knock your socks away!!
