I had forgotten about this movie until I stumbled across it while flipping through the channels. It shows the struggle of the single mother who is raising a handful of kids on her own. It shows how a single man can fall in love with a woman who has a lot more to accept than just her.
The plight of the black man to step up and quit running is outlined in James Earl Jones.
