Review of Class of 1984 (1982) by Luke E — 19 Oct 2010
An eerily prophetic and some what shocking story of high school gang violence out of control as a group of teen thugs terrorise the teachers of a decaying urban school.
Timothy Van Patten gives a great performance as the charismatic and cunningly deranged gang leader Stegman, as do Perry King and Roddy McDowall as the gentle teachers pushed to their breaking points.
The film has a nice subtle grindhouse flavor throughout as the characters are thrust into a crowd pleasing and blood soaked finale.
