Review of Class of 1984 (1982) by Oliver S — 08 Jan 2008
This cult hit is a fast-paced tour-de-force looking at the increasing violence and anarchy at American schools. Retrospectively, Class of 1984 is very forward thinking when you consider the recent school shootings in the USA, and particularly Columbine.
However, it is raw, the plot is at times quite muddled, and it borrows a little too heavily from Straw Dogs. It's interesting nonetheless, and worth seeing.
