Pretty lame. The film unevenly goes back and forth between Rob Lowe and Andrew McCarthy and their prep school buddies doing "wild and crazy" pranks on each other, and McCarthy having an affair with an older woman, who turns out to be Lowe's mother.

It also reeks of a Graduate ripoff, and the ending was completely lazy, with Jacqueline Bisset (as Lowe's mom) being explained away as a crazy, emotional drunk in need of help, and Lowe and McCarthy having a fistfight in the dirt, and then laughing the whole thing off.

This movie is really only good for spotting a bunch of familiar faces, alot of whom went on to star in John Hughes' teen movies, or other 80s greats. McCarthy went on to star in Pretty in Pink. Lowe was never in a Hughes film, but he was in St.

Elmo's Fire, with McCarthy. John Cusack went on to star in Hughes' Sixteen Candles, as well as Better Off Dead, Say Anything, and The Sure Thing. Alan Ruck went on to star in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

There's a few "blink and you'll miss them" appearances too. Joan Cusack, John's sister who also appeared in Sixteen Candles and Say Anything, plays a female prep school student, as does Virginia Madsen, who even flashes us (years before Candyman or Sideways).

Suzanne Snyder plays some random chick, and she went on to star in Hughes' Weird Science as well as Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Lolita Davidovich played a 2nd random girl, and she went on to star in Brian DePalma's Raising Cain.

While I didn't catch him, John Kapelos apparently was here as a bellman; he went on to be in 3 John Hughes movies: Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, and Weird Science.
