Review of Clash of the Titans (2010) by Marischa B — 15 Jun 2012
Saw this movie back in the early '80s with the mechanical owl and when stop motion photography was the cutting edge in film making. Loved the movie back then and was interested in seeing this one again with advances in CGI and curious how or if they would change the story line.
The idea that the remake and all its contemporary special effects were going to be 3D was the draw for me. The movie didn't disappoint but not the world's blockbuster. They did change certain aspects of the story and certain details (Owl made a cameo, Blind witches use actual eyeball instead of crystal and not in a cave, Pegasus is black instead of white, Scorpions are bigger than I remember in original film, and more, etc.
) my son (19) and I did have an enjoyable time watching the movie. He may not agree since I kept whispering in his ear all the differences between the old one all the while he was TRYING to watch the movie.
