Unfortunately its some way short of the original, there seems to be too much reliance on the CGI which to be honest don't look fantastic that distract the viewer from the wafer thin plot.
The heroes on their mission are hardly worth sticking in at all as they seem to drop like flies every 5 mins leaving you frustrated as they are nothing more than extras. The plot moves too quickly jumping from one badly executed scene to another, all of which worse than the original. Pegasus is hardly in the film at all and even Calibos gets less screentime than one of Worthingtons sandles.
Its as if to remake this letterier has cut the original to pieces leaving huge chunks out unable to glue it all together. Another example of Hollywood ruining a classic, but atleast your kids will like it.
