Review of Clash of the Titans (1981) by Kylie B — 27 Mar 2009
Tries to be a harder edged Jason And The Argonauts, even if it is telling a different story the Harryhausen link and mythical source cannot be denied. The film unfortuneatly gets quite muddled up in its story, needlessly going off on tangents that take away from the strong central plot.
I will be anticipating the remake, as this really is ripe for it, although given my preference I would like to see it told from Calibos' perspective, he is a brilliantly tragic figure as opposed to the bland hero.
