Review of Clash of the Titans (1981) by Mark M — 20 Mar 2010
Some of the actors are better than others (let me put it this way: Laurence Olivier vs. Harry Hamlin). But the real star is Ray Harryhausen's always charming stop-motion work. The Kraken, Pegasus, Medusa, all are iconic figures.
There would have been no "Hercules" or "Xena" (or "Army of Darkness" for that matter) without the influence of Harryhausen's work. Cheesy, but fun.
