Review of Clash of the Titans (1981) by Camden N — 01 Apr 2010

This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I loved the Medusa scene, but it also creeped me right the fudge out. Looking back it's a pretty cheesy movie, but that Medusa scene is still as effective as ever.

True, it's really not as good as the earlier "Seventh Voyage of Sinbad" or "Jason and the Argonauts" but it's still a lot of fun, and you've gotta love those Ray Harryhausen effects! It also has one of the best catch phrases ever ("Release the Kraken!"), which I'm glad to see has made it into the upcoming remake.
