Review of City of Women (1980) by Garrett T — 03 Mar 2008
I love this film because after many his other films focusing on the seduction of women and temptation he creates a world to portray the male's inner anxieties and ideals of females. Because it was made during the feminist movement in Italy his imagery of the feminists is incredibly fierce and frightening ( having them dressed as nazis), placing him as the one to be objectified and tortured, and still also leading to the components of a sexual fantasy at times.
A brilliant way to have all the females of which he fantasized over his whole life, turn into the dominant force. haha loved it!
