Review of City of the Living Dead (1980) by Amy D — 26 Feb 2011
A typically gruesome Fulci horror, with zombies who like to remove brains by ripping them out the back of the skull. Many other gory delights in the form of eviseration via mouth and a man who has a giant drill pressed into his head.
The confusing, non-sensical story is pretty typical for a Fulci film but he does manage to create some spooky atmosphere, and there are quite a few legitimately creepy moments.
